Working in our community
Social Responsibility and Involvement with the Community
As former officers of the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, all FRSNI Ltd. associates have had a lifetime of serving our local Community.
As a local Company, FRSNI Ltd. continues this policy of social responsibility and community involvement in a number of ways:
Fire Safety: Past, Present and Future - Tuesday 28th November 2023 - Cultra Manor
The team at FRSNI hosted a Fire Safety seminar in November 2023 for construction professionals, who work across a range of disciplines in the construction sector. These included specialists in Healthcare Estates, Social Housing, Industrial and Commercial providers.
There was a great turnout of attendees and people who supported the event, especially our expert speakers who delivered papers from their specialist fields from within the Fire Safety sector, including advances in legislative standards within Northern Ireland, fire safety guidance within the healthcare sector, how large scale property organisations can manage compliance with evolving new standards, and protecting people at risk.
Following a panel question session where expert speakers from across the UK, including FRSNI’s fire safety consultants were on hand to answer questions, we concluded the event with a Christmas raffle where all of the proceeds were donated to the Burns Unit at the Royal Victoria Hospital. We were pleased to have representatives from the unit present on the day to receive the cheque.
UK Firesport 4 Nations Golf
FRSNI were proud to sponsor the 4 Nations Golf Tournament at Drumoig Golf Club, Scotland in 2023.
The tournament encourages networking amongst the 4 Nations Fire Services, supporting the bond firefighters have beyond national boundaries.
Local Community
We also endeavour to support local community groups, in particular those groups involved in trying to give children the best start in life.
So far we have been pleased to support
BBC Children in Need
Bangor Young Men Football Club, Under age football team
Ards RFC, Summer Scheme
Lisburn RFC, mini rugby
St. Paul’s GAC, Under age team
Belfast Boys Model, Bursary Scheme
Technical Fire Safety Support to Local Charities, Churches and Community Groups
FRSNI Ltd. operates a “5 minute favour” scheme which we use to provide technical fire safety support to local charities and community groups. We also offer a sympathetic pricing policy when working for Community based organisations.
